Dear students and parents/guardians,
It is so nice to meet you all and I welcome you to my 2017 - 2018 science classroom. I am a Yorba Linda local and attended K - 12 in the Placentia Yorba Linda School District. I graduated from El Dorado High School in 2011 and went on to the University of Redlands. I played lacrosse for the university all four years and was able to travel all over the US, Germany, and the Czech Republic to play. I also studied abroad for a semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I was a Biology major with a minor in Spanish and Physical Education. After graduating, I pursued my single subject teaching credential at CSUF and earned my first teaching job at Talbert Middle School in Huntington Beach During this time, I coached lacrosse at Yorba Linda High School and coached a middle school club team, Yorba Linda Lightning. In April, I interviewed for the life science teaching position here at GALA and absolutely fell in love with the school and it's mission for young women. It is such an honor being able to teach here and I cannot wait to get this year going. Outside of school you can find me at the gym, cycling, playing soccer, or coaching our very first women's tennis team at GALA! I also love all things outdoors including hiking, backpacking, and camping. I look forward to an enriching year, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions! -Ms. Keilty 7th Grade Life Science, 9th Grade Biology, AP Biology |
